For those of you who can’t even begin to contemplate having any sort of dental treatment, then we are able to conduct your treatment under intravenous sedation (IV sedation). Our qualified staff will offer you support and reassurance before, during and after your treatment. We will use a very small needle into your arm or at the back of your hand to administer the sedation drug and luckily, what comes next you won’t remember!
This is the idea behind conscious sedation, for the patient it is a relaxing drug that reduces any anxieties you may have, whilst still allowing you to be fully co operational with the dentist and the best part is it induces memory loss once the drug is administered and only until it wears off. Resulting in you being able to sit in a dental chair and undergo any necessary treatment and not have a care in the world about it! There are no side effects following IV sedation and if the dentist completes the treatment, he/she can administer a drug to reverse you back around.
